WELCOME! I’m rob wilson

As an IB educator of 16+ years, I believe the outside world is the best classroom.

This belief has guided me through life - from growing up on a self-sufficient organic farm in Maine, to working at various wall-less nature-immersion schools, to organizing 50+ trips around the world.

Having worked in a range of IB roles over the last 2 decades (including ToK teacher, MYP and DP Coordinator, and HS Principal), I specialize in embedding the IB curriculum into the outside world, so that student learning can truly come to life in an embodied, wonder-filled way.

In the words of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, “If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men…and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”

My mission as an educator is to facilitate experiences that nurture that yearning, because in our ever-changing world, I believe that is the most powerful indictor of student success.

Educational Trips

Inspired by phenomenon learning, I help IB schools design interdisciplinary, curriculum-embedded trips in Europe and beyond, so that student learning can come alive in an embodied, memorable, wonder-filled way.

ATL Skills

As they say, give someone a fish and you feed them for a day, teach someone to fish and you feed them for a lifetime. I help embed ATL skills in the curriculum (with vertical & horizontal articulation) for empowered, lifelong learning.

TOK Workshops

I design and run workshops for teachers, students and parents on ToK as a central lens for IB learning. It’s my favorite subject in the world! And such a game-changer when integrated into all subjects - and life - as a critical thinking tool.

    This includes planning and communication time; travel and accommodation are extra, if needed.
